D. Pelkas Transfer from İstanbul Başakşehir to PAOK

Dimitris Pelkas convinced Basaksehir to release him from his contract, which was originally valid until the summer of 2026. He will sign a 2.5-year contract with PAOK. Pelkas is expected to arrive in Thessaloniki after Wednesday afternoon (22/01) to complete the procedural parts of his transfer, including passing the necessary medical examinations and signing his new contract.

Dimitris Pelkas, the Greek international attacking midfielder, is expected to return to Thessaloniki in the coming days to finalize his reintegration into PAOK, the club where he spent 7.5 years and reached the peak of his career. This transfer is likely to be completed by the end of the week, and Pelkas will be immediately available as he is in competitive form with Basaksehir.

PAOK is in search of an attacking midfielder with qualities similar to Dimitris Pelkas. The Greek international has shown interest in making a return to his homeland. Ivan Savvidis has approved both reinforcements and departures, and PAOK is giving serious thought to Pelkas, who remains under contract with Basaksehir until June 2026. Pelkas has conveyed his affection for PAOK and his wish to return under favorable circumstances, aiming to make a significant contribution to the team rather than just concluding his career. His previous period at PAOK included both successful and challenging times, yet his commitment and enthusiasm for the club remained steadfast. Pelkas, who recently made a discreet visit to Thessaloniki to support PAOK as a fan, mentioned that he wants his return to be under the right conditions, stressing that he is looking for a substantial role rather than merely wrapping up his career.
