Deyovaisio Zeefuik signed a one-year contract extension with Hertha BSC. Despite being one of the most consistent players at the end of the season, his expiring contract was not renewed initially because he earned over a million per season. However, as he did not find any lucrative offers elsewhere, both parties resumed talks, and Zeefuik agreed to stay, even accepting a pay cut. The new coach, Cristian Fiel, also supported Zeefuik's stay.

Deyovaisio Zeefuik was initially expected to leave Berlin. However, according to kicker information, the defender is now about to sign a new one-year contract. After loans to Blackburn Rovers (January to June 2022) and Hellas Verona (January to June 2023), Zeefuik secured a key role at Hertha BSC last season. The new coach, Cristian Fiel, has also advocated for Zeefuik's stay.
