Deniss Rakels Transfer from Hutnik Krakow to Zagłębie Sosnowiec

Deniss Rakeļs will continue his career in Poland. The Latvian player has joined Zagłębie Sosnowiec on a permanent transfer from Hutnik Kraków. He has previously played in the Polish Ekstraklasa, appearing in 93 matches with 27 goals and 11 assists. The 32-year-old has signed a contract until June 30, 2026, and will reunite with former teammates Kamil Biliński and assistant coach Bartłomiej Bobla.

Deniss Rakeļs, who has a history of playing for Cracovia and Lech Poznań, might soon be transferring to another club according to Kamil Bętkowski. It is reported that the forward from Hutnik Kraków could be joining Zagłębie Sosnowiec. This team, based in the Silesian Voivodeship, currently occupies the fifth, play-off position in the second league standings. Meanwhile, Hutnik Kraków is positioned seventh, but both clubs have amassed the same total of 29 points. In Sosnowiec, Deniss is expected to reunite with Bartłomiej Bobla, who formerly coached the Kraków side and under whose guidance Deniss participated in 25 matches. Over the past 1.5 seasons at Hutnik, Deniss Rakeļs has achieved 12 goals and 11 assists in 48 second league appearances.
