Trabzonspor has shown interest in Ajax's midfielder Davy Klaassen. Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, who had also covered Dusan Tadic's possible return to Amsterdam, reported that Trabzonspor has made an inquiry about Klaassen. The 32-year-old midfielder is considered an attractive prospect for the Turkish club, particularly because his contract is nearing its end. Klaassen's openness to considering an offer from Turkey remains uncertain. Recently, his agent, Bas Schothorst, suggested that Klaassen is inclined to extend his stay at Ajax. After leaving Internazionale last summer and being without a club for a period, Klaassen secured a one-season contract with Ajax following a period of training with the team. Ajax may propose a new contract to him. Over the course of his career, Klaassen has played for Ajax in three separate stints and, under the current coach Francesco Farioli, has appeared in 28 Eredivisie matches, scoring eight goals and providing two assists.
