Dave Kwakman is set to play for FC Groningen in the coming months, according to announcements made through the club's official channels. The Eredivisie's fifteenth-placed team will acquire the midfielder on a loan basis from AZ. Kwakman is expected to join the training sessions immediately. The 20-year-old is regarded as a major talent at AZ, having impressed during AZ O19's remarkable Youth League campaign, where they defeated Boca Juniors to win the world cup. However, due to intense competition, he has experienced limited playing time this season, making five appearances for AZ's first team and starting in two of them. Additionally, he has been a regular starter for Jong AZ, with ten starts. This transfer to Groningen represents the club's second winter acquisition, following the signing of Mats Seuntjens.
