Danny Ings leaving West Ham United?
West Ham United are open to letting Danny Ings leave on free transfers in an attempt to get their wages off the books.
West Ham are willing to allow Danny Ings to leave on a free transfer to get his wages off their books. Ings has rejected a return to old club Southampton early in the window, and his salary of around £130,000-a-week is a big barrier to his exit. He has been pushed further down the pecking order by the signing of Niclas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund.
West Ham faces an uphill battle to offload unwanted striker Danny Ings. The Hammers are keen to sell Ings to help clear space on their wage bill for a new No. 9 with Villarreal’s former Crystal Palace man Alexander Sorloth a potential option. However, Ings’ earnings of around £120,000 a week are proving a big barrier to his departure while it is also thought the ex-Liverpool and Aston Villa star is keen to stay and fight for his place.
