Daniel Popa leaving FCSB?

In the winter, Daniel Popa negotiated a move to FC Botoșani with Valeriu Iftime. However, the two parties did not reach an agreement, and the negotiations eventually fell through. The owner of the Moldovan club revealed that Popa was enticed by a higher salary offer from abroad and would not accept a modest salary at FC Botoșani, currently ranked second to last in the Superliga.

Gigi Becali, the owner of FCSB, stated that Daniel Popa is allowed to leave the club during this transfer window. He has been removed from the Superliga list but remains on the Europa League list. If he doesn't transfer, he will continue training with the team and receive his salary. Becali emphasized that while he respects the contract, the player must also respect it until it expires.

Daniel Popa received an offer from a club in Kazakhstan. Gigi Becali mentioned that Popa might be tempted to accept this foreign offer instead of going to FC Botoșani.

Daniel Popa was considered for a transfer to FC Botoșani. However, Valeriu Iftime, the owner of FC Botoșani, expressed doubts about the transfer, suggesting that Popa might return to 'U' Cluj instead. Ultimately, Popa opposed the move to FC Botoșani and is considering other offers.

Daniel Popa is wanted by FC Botoșani, with negotiations already advanced. FCSB wants to part ways with him this winter due to his inability to score in official matches, despite a promising start. This transfer is also tied to FCSB's need to free up spots for new signings in the official league list.

Valeriu Iftime, the financier of FC Botoșani, confirmed negotiations with Gigi Becali for the transfer of Daniel Popa. Iftime expressed interest in Popa as they need a forward. He stated, "We are in negotiations for Daniel Popa, I can't tell you more. We've discussed, I want him, the idea is that the kid wants it too, but there are still some discussions with the staff."

Daniel Popa might join FC Botoșani for free if Valeriu Iftime, the representative of FC Botoșani, agrees to give up 5% of the 15% future transfer share of Joyskim Dawa. An agent contacted Becali expressing Iftime's interest in Popa.

Daniel Popa has been informed by FCSB's financier, Gigi Becali, that he is no longer in the club's plans and needs to find a new team. This decision comes as a result of FCSB's need to make room for new signings Lukas Zima, Juri Cisotti, and Kiki.

Daniel Popa was transferred in the summer for 300,000 euros from Universitatea Cluj to FCSB. Raul Rusescu criticized the transfer, suggesting that Popa has not met the expectations at FCSB and lost his starting position to Daniel Bîrligea. Rusescu indicated that if Popa was brought in to score 20 goals a season, it was a mistake from the beginning. Popa is recognized for being good in duels and in challenging the opponent's defense. Rusescu expressed the belief that Popa could leave FCSB as early as the winter transfer window if he wishes to do so.
