Daniel Popa, after being bought from U Cluj for 300,000 euros in the summer, may return to Universitatea Cluj this winter due to underperformance at FCSB. Valeriu Iftime, the owner of FC Botoșani, claimed that although he was interested in Popa, the player seems to have already agreed to return to U Cluj. Popa's return to Universitatea Cluj would reunite him with coach Ioan Ovidiu Sabău, after scoring only two goals in 28 matches for FCSB.
