Dani Olmo Transfer from FC Barcelona to Chelsea

Barcelona failed to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor due to salary cap issues. Olmo has a contract clause allowing him to leave for free if not registered, having cost €55m four months ago with a €48m salary from a six-year deal. Chelsea is linked with him.

Dani Olmo's registration with Barcelona was rejected by LaLiga, making him a free agent. Despite previously vowing to stay at the Nou Camp, he is now able to strike a free transfer agreement with a new club. Reports claim that Chelsea, along with other 'Big Six' Premier League clubs, are hoping to bring Olmo to England.

Chelsea has inquired about Dani Olmo, joining the list of 'Big Six' clubs in England interested in his potential free agent status. Olmo, who might become a free agent from January 1 if his registration issue is not resolved, has drawn attention from top European clubs. Arsenal was reportedly the first to show interest, followed by other Premier League giants such as Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United, who are said to have renewed their interest since the summer. In addition to Chelsea, Tottenham has also reportedly inquired about the 26-year-old international forward. His potential free agent status has not gone unnoticed, with clubs like Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen in Germany also reportedly showing interest, while his former club RB Leipzig is reportedly surprised by the situation.
