Dani de Wit leaving VfL Bochum 1848?

Dani de Wit, who transferred to VfL Bochum on a free transfer from AZ this summer, is reportedly already on the transfer list. He has struggled to make a significant impact on the team under Dieter Hecking and has lost his starting position since early November. De Wit is contracted with Bochum until the summer of 2028. Although it is not yet clear if there is any interest in him, Bochum is contemplating selling him to generate funds for new player investments. The team currently sits at the bottom of the Bundesliga, with two points from twelve matches, and is nine points away from safety.

Dani de Wit could leave VfL Bochum in the winter. Trainer Dieter Hecking is not planning with the 26-year-old Dutchman, who has only played 38 minutes in three games under the new coach. De Wit joined Bochum on a free transfer from Alkmaar in the summer.

Dani de Wit has a release clause that will become active if VfL Bochum is relegated from the Bundesliga this season. According to Sky Sport Germany, interested clubs would need to pay a 'low single-digit million amount' to acquire him, although the specific amount for the clause is not mentioned. De Wit, who joined Bochum on a free transfer from AZ this summer, is a regular player for the team. Currently, Bochum is struggling in the Bundesliga, positioned at the bottom with just one point from seven matches, and is six points behind FC Augsburg, which is in the safe fifteenth position. Last summer, several clubs from Italy, including US Lecce, had considered De Wit, but he decided to move to Bochum.
