Philippe Clement and director of recruitment Nils Koppen moved quickly to bring in the experienced centre-back after long-serving Connor Goldson sealed his £1.4million move to Cypriot side Aris Limassol on Wednesday.
Connor Goldson was allowed to depart for Aris Limassol following six years in Glasgow.
Connor Goldson leaves Glasgow after six seasons. The English central defender departs from Rangers and joins Aris Limassol, a leading club in the Cypriot championship. Goldson signs a three-year contract with Aris, expiring on June 30, 2027, as announced by the club. The Scottish club confirmed the departure for an undisclosed fee and wished him well for his future endeavors.
Connor Goldson is absent from the loss at Birmingham as he returned to Cyprus to complete a move to Aris Limassol. He had flown out for initial talks before returning for a friendly against Birmingham City. Despite traveling with the group to St Andrew's, he has since left after a bid from the Cypriot club. Contrary to reports, a medical is yet to take place.
