Chuba Akpom joins LOSC Lille on loan from Ajax Amsterdam. The loan includes an option to buy and lasts until the end of the 2024-2025 season. Ajax attempted to delay the loan transfer of Chuba Akpom to Lille until after 'De Klassieker' due to issues on the left-wing position. Mika Godts was not fit, and Oliver Edvardsen was not registered in time. Akpom is being loaned to Lille for half a year, with Lille taking over his full salary. Lille has an option to buy Akpom for 12.5 million euros. Akpom, already in Lille, refused Ajax's request to play one more match, leading to the failure of Ajax's attempt to delay the transfer.

Lille will loan the forward until the end of the season and will take over his full salary. Lille will have the option to permanently acquire Akpom for 12.5 million euros.
