Cedric Teuchert Transfer from Hannover 96 to St. Louis City
Cedric Teuchert has transferred from Hannover 96 to St. Louis.
Cedric Teuchert has left Hannover 96 on a free transfer to St. Louis. This move has saved Hannover 96 one of the top salaries.
Cedric Teuchert, after nearly ten years in German professional football, is making the move abroad. The 27-year-old striker is transferring to St. Louis City in the MLS. His professional debut was celebrated in November 2014 for 1. FC Nürnberg, followed by stops at FC Schalke 04, Union Berlin and Hannover 96. The departure of the 27-year-old striker from Hannover has been certain since the beginning of May, and now his new employer St. Louis City from the MLS has presented him. 'Cedric is a proven goal scorer who will enrich our squad,' describes City's sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel, who was sporting director at Fortuna Düsseldorf between December 2018 and May 2020. Teuchert will receive one of the typically eight international roster spots at St. Louis and signs a two-year contract until the summer of 2026, which includes a club option, extending the contract by half a year.
Cedric Teuchert, the top scorer of Hannover 96, is set to transfer to St. Louis in the USA. The transfer is happening in the summer and will be free of charge. There are speculations that he might play alongside Dortmund star Marco Reus.
