Cédric Soares Transfer to São Paulo

São Paulo has contracted Cédric Soares, a 33-year-old Portuguese right-back, on an initial three-month agreement, where he will train with the team for a symbolic salary. Should he meet the approval of Zubeldía, São Paulo plans to propose a new contract with values more aligned to the market until December. This arrangement was made possible by São Paulo's President Julio Casares during his visit to England, where he met with Cédric's representatives. They had requested the use of the club's facilities for Cédric's physical conditioning. Cédric has been without a club since his contract with Arsenal concluded in mid-2024.

Cédric Soares, who won the Euro Cup with Portugal, is undergoing training at São Paulo's CT da Barra Funda. As a free agent, he reached out to São Paulo to regain his physical fitness, having been out of play for a year. São Paulo's president, Julio Casares, indicated that the club would provide support to Soares but clarified that his signing would not be guaranteed, as it would depend on multiple factors. Cédric is anticipated to remain for a 90-day trial period, after which a contract may be signed if both parties come to an agreement.

Cédric Soares, a Portuguese international, is set to return to football, likely in Brazil. According to Brazilian journalist André Hernan, he has already completed the usual medical examinations and is ready to sign with São Paulo. Cédric has also trained at the Tricolor's training ground and was seen at Morumbi Stadium during a match between São Paulo and Guaraní. Since leaving Arsenal last summer, he has been without a club and has not competed for 10 months.

Cédric Soares, a 32-year-old Portuguese right-back, has become a free agent following the conclusion of his contract with Arsenal in England. He was seen in the stands at Morumbis during São Paulo's match against Guarani, which suggests his interest in joining the Brazilian club. Negotiations between Cédric and São Paulo's management are ongoing concerning a potential transfer, as the club aims to bolster its right-back position. This news was first reported by journalist Gabriel Sá and later confirmed by Gazeta Esportiva.
