Cédric Bakambu Transfer from Real Betis to PAOK

Cédric Bakambu has received a proposal from PAOK worth 2 million euros for a 1.5-year contract. Discussions with Real Betis are ongoing to release him, a process that is nearly completed. PAOK is attempting to free up a forward position by releasing either Tissoudali or Brandon.

PAOK made an offer to Real Betis for the purchase of Cédric Bakambu, but it was rejected by Betis, who are demanding more money. The proposal from PAOK did not meet the financial demands of the Andalusian club. Bakambu is under contract with Betis until the summer of 2026. Betis is asking for 2 million euros to sell the player, aiming to recoup a significant part of the 3 million euros they invested in acquiring him in February 2024.

According to Dimitris Tsorbatzoglou's report on bwinΣΠΟΡ FM 94.6, PAOK is in the process of acquiring Cédric Bakambu. It was mentioned that PAOK officials have progressed in their discussions with Real Betis and are hopeful about acquiring the Congolese forward, potentially even as a free transfer from the Spanish club. Bakambu, who gained recognition in Greece during the 2022-23 season with Olympiacos by scoring 18 goals in 33 matches, is well-regarded in the country. Following his departure from Olympiacos, he signed with Al Nassr, later joined Galatasaray, and then moved to Real Betis.
