Cássio has been with Corinthians for the last 12 years, during which he played 712 games and won nine titles. Recently, Cássio lost his starting position at Corinthians and admitted that he was no longer happy at the São Paulo club. Corinthians offered a contract renewal, but Cássio declined and will now continue his career in Minas Gerais.
