Cardoso Varela leaving Porto U19?
Until October 29th, Varela will play for Croatian lower league club Dinamo Odranski Obrež due to his inability to sign a contract with a German club before turning 16.
Varela's representatives have already found a new club in Germany for their client, and everything is reportedly agreed upon with an unknown club. However, since Varela has not yet turned 16, he cannot sign a contract.
Until he turns 16 on October 29, Varela will play for Croatian lower league club Dinamo iz Odranskog Obreža. Porto has reported the entire case to FIFA, the Portuguese and Croatian football federations, and the relevant authorities.
Portuguese media reported that after the European U-15 Championship final between Italy and Portugal (3:0), 15-year-old Portuguese footballer Cardoso Varela went missing. Porto attempted to contact him but failed. It is believed that the player went missing due to a conflict between the club and his manager. The managers demanded three million euros for Varela to continue playing for Porto. Since the club did not agree, the managers quickly found a club in Germany for Varela and made all the arrangements. However, Varela could not sign the contract as he has not turned 16 yet.
After turning 16, Cardoso Varela would likely go on to play in Germany with a professional contract.
Cardoso Varela is planned to have a temporary contract with Croatian fourth-division club Dinamo Odranski Obrez. This will be until October 29, after which he would turn 16 and can sign a professional contract.
After turning 16 and signing a professional contract in Croatia, Cardoso Varela's next destination is likely to be a club in the German Bundesliga.
Cardoso Varela, a 15-year-old winger from Porto, is planned to be placed in Dinamo Odranski Obrež, a club in Croatia's fourth league, until October, when he turns 16 and can sign a professional contract.
