Leeds United are confident of signing Cameron Archer this summer. Journalist Ben Jacobs revealed there is an ‘expectation’ that the move will go through once promotion is secured. Archer has made it clear to his people that he wants the move to Elland Road this summer and would have said yes to a move in the winter window had Southampton not blocked his path. A fee of between £15m and £20m is expected to convince Championship-bound Southampton to sell.

Leeds United had Cameron Archer as a top target in January and could reignite their interest this summer. Southampton were reluctant to sell Archer at the time, but if they are relegated and Leeds are promoted, there may be an opportunity to get a deal done. Archer is keen on a move to Elland Road, and agreeing a fee with the Saints will be the only obstacle.
