Cacá confirmed his permanent stay at Corinthians through social media. The new contract is valid for four seasons. Corinthians will pay US$ 4 million for 90% of the economic rights of the defender, who was previously with Tokushima Vortis, Japan. The remaining 10% of Cacá's rights will stay with the Japanese club. Initially, Corinthians agreed to pay US$ 2 million for 60% of his rights, but the amount increased as Cacá reached new objectives as per the contract.
