Costas has a history with Barticciotto, having coached him at Palestino in 2022. Talleres' coach, Alexander Medina, regards Barticciotto as a valuable player, yet his recent benching in a match suggests a possible move this summer. Racing has already signed Adrián Balboa and is eager to secure Barticciotto's services, despite anticipating tough negotiations with Talleres' president, Andrés Fassi. Barticciotto is not intending to return to Chile and is attracting interest from other clubs, including Universidad Católica and Colo-Colo.
