West Ham United is considering Brian Brobbey as an alternative if their negotiations with RB Leipzig for André Silva do not succeed. The club aims to bolster their attacking options in the final week of the winter transfer window, as their new manager, Graham Potter, has requested. Although Brobbey has not performed exceptionally at Ajax this season, with only three goals in 22 appearances, he has made a significant impression as the striker for the Dutch national team in the autumn. According to Sky Sport's transfer expert Florian Plettenberg, Brobbey's name has emerged as West Ham's contingency plan, following previous interest from Olympique Marseille. The Hammers intend to make a swift decision, particularly since Silva, who had a brief overlap with Brobbey at RB Leipzig during the 2021/2022 season, is also drawing attention from Bundesliga clubs. West Ham's main objective is to secure Silva on a six-month loan, with critical discussions scheduled for Friday.
