Boulaye Dia Transfer from Salernitana to Wolverhampton Wanderers
Wolverhampton is showing interest in Boulaye Dia again after having been turned down by the club a year ago. The relegation of Salernitana to Serie B has changed the situation, and new solutions might open up. However, there is still a disparity between demand and offer. Wolverhampton has reportedly made a proposal of 7 million euros, which is five million less than what Salernitana's president, Danilo Iervolino, is asking. The idea is to cash in more from the player's sale, but a negotiation can now open. The player's departure seems inevitable, especially due to the broken relationships between the parties.
A season particularly troubled for the striker and Salernitana, which began with the pressures made by the player at the end of last summer to be transferred to Wolverhampton despite the proposal for the Campanian club being unsatisfactory. From there quarrels and controversies, up to the refusal, at least according to the version of the company, to take the field in the match against Udinese with Fabio Liverani on the bench. In the following weeks, Dia himself had released an interview with L'Equipe in which he told his version of the facts, a circumstance that Salernitana did not like, who in the meantime was trying to follow the path of reconciliation. From there the definitive break, with the company of President Iervolino asking for damages of 20 million euros and a reduction of the player's salary by 50% until the end of the season. In response, Dia himself asked for the lowering of the termination clause to about 10 million euros. Today, as said, the first stage with the hearing before the Arbitration College. This season the class '96 has put together a total of 18 appearances with 4 active goals.
