Bernardo Silva: Manchester City Contract Extension

Bernardo Silva has confirmed he will remain with Manchester City for the 2025–26 season after being named the team’s new captain. He ruled out a departure this summer as he enters the final year of his contract. Silva stated, 'I have one year on my contract so obviously I can leave next season. This season for sure will be at City, I’m going to stay.'

Bernardo Silva is in talks to extend his contract with Manchester City. The Portuguese midfielder's current contract expires in June 2026, and it may be extended until 2027 or even 2028. The club aims to secure his presence due to his crucial role in the team's recent success and prevent other major teams from attempting to sign him. Negotiations are ongoing, and an agreement is expected soon.
