Benjamin Uphoff is leaving SC Freiburg. His expiring contract will not be extended after four years, as announced by the club on Friday. Recently, Uphoff had a hard time as the third goalkeeper. Especially in the past season, he gained match experience through appearances in the 3rd league and was thus able to fill his position within our goalkeeper team for a long time. This option is now off the table, says SC sports director Klemens Hartenbach.
