After a nine-month experience in China between March and December of last year, Abdul-Aziz Yakubu returns to Asia. The Ghanaian forward leaves Rio Ave - with whom he still had a year of contract - and moves to Shimizu S-Pulse. Aziz played the second half of the past season with the Portuguese club, which had bought him in the summer of 2021 from Vitoria Guimaraes on loan with an option to buy exercised 12 months later: for him, 16 league appearances with six goals and two assists to his credit.
