Other clubs expressing interest in the 19-year-old midfielder include 1. FC Nürnberg, Hannover 96, TSG Hoffenheim, and Olympique Marseille. Despite Bochum's interest, 1. FC Nürnberg is believed to have the best prospect of signing him, as positive discussions have reportedly taken place between the parties. At Nürnberg, Chaikhoun could potentially replace Jens Castrop, who is set to join Borussia Mönchengladbach for 4.5 million Euros after the season.
