Arthur Cabral Transfer from Benfica to Corinthians
Benfica was open to negotiating the departure of Arthur Cabral in recent months. He had some possibilities in Brazil, with Corinthians showing interest until very close to the end of the transfer window. However, no truly interesting proposals came in for both the club and the player.
The Brazilian club Corinthians insisted on a transfer for Arthur Cabral, but it was unsuccessful.
Corinthians made an attempt to loan Arthur Cabral with an obligatory purchase clause contingent on achieving certain objectives; however, Benfica did not agree to the terms. Currently, Corinthians is trying to persuade Benfica to sell a portion of Cabral's rights, valuing the player at €15 million. Arthur Cabral was acquired by Benfica last summer from Fiorentina for €20 million, and Benfica is open to selling him for €15 million, aiming to recoup their investment.
Corinthians is pursuing Arthur Cabral from Benfica with a second offer near Benfica's demands, including a significant purchase option. The deal is valued at €15 million, €5 million less than Benfica's asking price. Benfica prefers a mandatory purchase clause at the loan's end. While a €0.5 million loan payment is agreed upon, an agreement with Cabral, who earns €2 million per season, is still needed. Cabral is open to returning to Brazil as he is not a priority for coach Roger Schmidt this season.
Corinthians has long expressed interest in signing Arthur Cabral. The club recently renewed contact with Benfica and expressed a desire to negotiate a transfer. Corinthians is aware that it will be a difficult deal and is likely to pursue a loan deal.
