António Silva Transfer from Benfica to Juventus

Antonio Silva, a central defender from Benfica, is reportedly being targeted by Juventus for the January transfer window. Although Silva has struggled to secure a spot in the starting lineup recently, Juventus perceives potential value in acquiring him. According to Sky, Juventus might contemplate a high-cost loan deal, akin to their previous acquisition of Conceicao, to persuade Benfica to release Silva mid-season. The strong relationship with Silva's agent, Jorge Mendes, is seen as a possible facilitator for this operation.

Juventus is reportedly keen on acquiring António Silva to bolster their defense, following injuries to their central defenders Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal, who are expected to return in the 2025/26 season. The Italian club is looking to arrange a loan deal akin to the one previously negotiated with FC Porto for Francisco Conceição, with an option to purchase in the summer transfer window. Juventus is believed to have a strong working relationship with the players' agent, Jorge Mendes, which could ease the negotiation process. António Silva has participated in 14 out of 24 potential matches this season, starting in 12 of them, but has recently been replaced in the starting lineup by Tomás Araújo.

Juventus has shown interest in acquiring Antonio Silva to fill the central defender position left vacant due to Bremer's injury. Cristiano Giuntoli, the director of Juventus, has reportedly spoken with Silva's agent, Jorge Mendes, regarding the potential transfer. The Italian club is suggesting a loan with an option to purchase from Benfica. Antonio Silva is currently contracted with Benfica until June 2027, and his market value is estimated to be around 40 million euros. In recent games, Silva has been on the bench for the last three league matches as coach Bruno Lage has opted for Tomas Araujo and Nicolas Otamendi in central defense.
