Antonio Raimondo Transfer from Bologna to Salernitana

Antonio Raimondo is set to join Salernitana shortly. He completed medical examinations with the club today and has just arrived at their headquarters to sign a contract that will tie him to the Campanians until the season's end. Earlier in the season, he had limited playing time with Venezia and struggled to make an impact. In Salerno, Raimondo will reunite with his former Ternana coach, Roberto Breda, who was instrumental in facilitating his transfer. Although there was interest from Salernitana and Pisa, Raimondo opted for a team where he already had a familiar connection.

Salernitana is making significant efforts to acquire Antonio Raimondo on loan. The interest comes from coach Breda, who previously coached Raimondo at Ternana last year. Salernitana is currently ahead of other Serie B clubs interested in the player. The club's sporting director, Marco Valentini, expressed alignment with Breda's request and emphasized the need for adjustments in the team, particularly in the offensive department.

Antonio Raimondo, who is currently on loan at Venezia from Bologna, is anticipated to depart from Venezia in January due to limited playing time under coach Eusebio Di Francesco. He has only been utilized for 86 minutes in the league and 16 minutes in the Coppa Italia. Despite having a strong season in Serie B last year, Raimondo has seen a decline in his standing within the Under21 team. A potential loan move to Salernitana in Serie B is being considered to offer him more playing opportunities, as Salernitana, along with Sampdoria and Cosenza, are reportedly interested in acquiring a striker. Additionally, there is a possibility that Giulio Maggiore could be included as part of an exchange deal with Salernitana.
