Cagliari is making an additional attempt to sign Antonin Barak from Fiorentina. He is considered a second choice for Raffaele Palladino and the deal could be finalized in the last hours of negotiations.

Antonin Barak is one of the surplus players at Fiorentina and is seen as a last-minute opportunity for Cagliari. Cagliari had shown interest in Barak last January before signing Gianluca Gaetano.

Cagliari's sporting director, Bonato, might decisively turn towards Antonin Barak. Barak has already been courted by the rossoblù in the last transfer window. The deal could be less costly than the Gaetano operation. Cagliari might try to bring him to Nicola's team on loan with a buyout option set at around 5 million euros.

Antonin Barak was very close to a transfer to Cagliari last January but is now set to stay at Fiorentina unless an irresistible offer comes in.
