Ante Budimir leaving Osasuna?

Ante Budimir has attracted considerable interest due to his outstanding performance, becoming the third highest scorer in La Liga with 18 goals. He has received concrete offers from clubs in Spain, the English Premier League, Saudi Arabia, and MLS. Osasuna's general director, Fran Canal, indicated that they are willing to discuss a transfer if a suitable offer is made, given Budimir's release clause of eight million euros. He emphasized that the decision largely rests with the player, as Budimir is contracted for another two years. Budimir's preference is to continue his career in Spain, either at Osasuna or another La Liga club, at least until the next World Cup.

Last summer, Budimir's manager brought a transfer offer from Turkey, which was immediately rejected by the club without any discussion. This winter, there have been no offers. Canal, the executive director, mentioned that Budimir is their biggest investment in a player ever, costing eight million euros, and they would only consider a transfer if an offer was overwhelming.

Ante Budimir could leave Osasuna after the European Championship. According to sources close to the club, Osasuna allegedly plans to sell Budimir in order to make a profit. The Spanish did not reveal which clubs are interested in the Croatian striker, but the Basque club wants to cash in on his brilliant season. He scored 18 goals and had two assists in 38 appearances last season. He has been at the club since 2020. According to Transfermarkt, he is worth five million euros, and his contract lasts until June 2027. He has previously played for NK Radnik, LASK, HNK Gorica, Inter Zaprešić, Lokomotiva, St. Pauli, Crotone, Sampdoria and Mallorca. He has scored three goals in 21 appearances for the Croatian national team.
