Ansu Fati leaving Brighton & Hove Albion?
Ansu Fati, who was loaned to Brighton this season, has not made a significant impact in England, scoring only two goals in the Premier League this season. He is set to return to FC Barcelona this summer and hopes that the arrival of Hansi Flick will shake up the offensive sector. In an interview with Mundo Deportivo, the winger expressed his ambitions.
Loaned at Brighton, has had injury problems. Barcelona might want to strengthen their left flank, making it difficult for Ansu. A new loan might be worked out.
Ansu Fati, who had a difficult season at Brighton, could make a move to Spain. His entourage has been trying to place him at Séville FC, a club he was associated with in his childhood. Sevilla is interested in him, but financial constraints due to fair-play rules might be an issue. There might be competition from financially stronger clubs.
Pablo Torre, lacking playing time at Girona, and Ansu Fati, slowed down by a knee injury during his stint at Brighton, should be loaned out, once again.
Ansu Fati's season at Brighton is far from what was expected when Barcelona and the English team agreed last summer to loan the forward until June 30, 2024. It was hoped that his stint in the Premier League would serve to rehabilitate the Barça youth player after a period of irregularity due to injuries. However, this has not been the case. He has only started three games this season and 19 of his teammates have played more minutes than him counting the Premier League and Europa League.
Roberto De Zerbi, manager of Brighton, in a recent interview after a defeat from Manchester City, was asked about Ansu Fati, a player on loan from Barcelona, and his future with the club. De Zerbi stated that while Fati is a great talent, he is unsure of Fati's future with Brighton. He mentioned needing to speak with Tony (the president), the sports director, the scouts, and the recruitment team before discussing with Ansu Fati.
