Racing, known as La Academia, has expressed interest in acquiring Ángelo Martino, a left-back from Newell's. Martino still has a year remaining on his contract with Newell's, who are open to selling him due to financial needs. It is reported that negotiations between Newell's and Racing have begun and are moving forward positively. Nevertheless, Racing has yet to finalize an agreement with Martino on his contract terms. In 2023, Newell's paid $1,500,000 to Talleres for Martino's transfer. Martino is a 26-year-old player hailing from Rafaela. Racing aims to make Martino their second acquisition of the transfer window, following the return of Matías Zaracho.
