Newcastle is reportedly interested in signing Angel Gomes from Lille. The 24-year-old midfielder might return to England as early as January. Gomes, who made a move to Lille on a free transfer during the summer of 2020, has become a pivotal player, having made 118 appearances, scored 18 goals, and provided 19 assists. He has also secured the Trophée des Champions in 2022 and earned his first cap for the England national team against Ireland in the UEFA Nations League.
