Andy Carroll leaving Amiens SC?

Andy Carroll has decided to change division and move to Girondins de Bordeaux, a team currently in the fourth division of French football. The club, which has six Ligue 1 titles, was administratively relegated after declaring bankruptcy in the summer. Carroll, now 35, has a new opportunity to prove himself and feel important again.

Andy Carroll, the player with whom Liverpool replaced Fernando Torres when 'El Niño' moved to Chelsea in 2011, has signed at the age of 35 for Burdeos, currently in the Fourth Division due to the club's financial problems. Carroll had started the season with Amiens in Ligue 2 and, despite playing four matches in this league, has decided to change divisions and move to Burdeos, a fallen giant.

Andy Carroll is reportedly set to join a fourth-tier French club from Ligue 2 side Amiens.
