Andrés Salazar Transfer from Atlético Nacional to Hearts
Hearts signed the Colombian left-back on an initial loan.
Steven Naismith has talked up Andres Salazar's experience after the defender was officially confirmed as a Hearts player this afternoon. The Colombian international, 21, completed his move from Atletico Nacional. Naismith told the club's website: 'A lot of hard work has gone into making this deal possible so I’m happy that it’s now over the line. In Andres we’re getting a quality player with loads of experience, despite his young age.'
Hearts have secured a Governing Body Exemption from the Scottish FA for the signing of Andres Salazar. An agreement was already in place between both clubs and the player but the Jambos had some red tape to cut through to bring the player from South America. Now, a visa and work permit must be sought. It is expected all of this will be wrapped up next week.
Andres Salazar is still poised to come in provided they are able to cut through the red tape for his move.
