Universitatea Craiova, represented by their honorary president Sorin Cârțu, has indicated that they are not interested in signing Andrei Vlad. Vlad began his career at Universitatea Craiova and made his debut there in 2016, before moving to FCSB in 2017. Currently, Craiova has three goalkeepers: Popescu, Lung jr., and Stoian, and they believe these players sufficiently cover the position. Moreover, Andrei Vlad's contract with FCSB is due to end this winter, and the club has already acquired Lukas Zima from Petrolul as a new goalkeeper, suggesting they do not intend to renew Vlad's contract. Although Gigi Becali referred to Vlad as the "Messi of goalkeepers," Sorin Cârțu stated that Vlad had chosen to leave Craiova for FCSB, and the club is satisfied with their existing goalkeeping lineup.
