It was noted that he would earn a substantial salary at Adanaspor, amounting to 50,000 euros per month, which is double the salary he received at Universitatea Craiova. Adanaspor, which competes in the second tier of Turkish football after being relegated in 2018, is currently positioned 19th in the league with 14 points from 17 matches. This transfer marks the second time Ivan has left Universitatea Craiova, having initially joined the club in 2013, then moved to Krasnodar three years later, and subsequently returned in 2019.
