U Cluj is in negotiations with rival CFR Cluj for the transfer of defensive midfielder Andrei Artean, who has only been at CFR Cluj for six months. Ioan Ovidiu Sabău believes the transfer will be finalized this week.

Andrei Artean, a 31-year-old midfielder, is set to leave CFR Cluj after not impressing during his time there. Initially, a return to Farul Constanța seemed imminent. Artean is currently in a training camp in Spain with CFR Cluj, where he played in a friendly match against Wehen, which might be his last game for the former Romanian champions.
