Solbakken discussed with Schjelderup on the phone whether he should stay at the club, and it seemed very likely that he would change clubs.

Andreas Schjelderup was also of interest to clubs in Germany, besides Ajax. However, Benfica and Schjelderup decided against any transfer as Benfica sees him as a top talent for the present and future.
