18 year-old Almugera Kabar signed a new contract with Borussia Dortmund on February 20, 2025, extending his stay with the Bundesliga club until June 2028. This three-year extension was made to ward off interest from other European clubs.

Almugera Kabar is set to sign his first professional contract with Borussia Dortmund, which will be valid until 2028. His current youth contract runs until 2026. Despite limited opportunities for young players at Dortmund due to the signing of loanee Daniel Svensson, Kabar remains committed to the club. AC Milan had shown interest in Kabar in recent months.

Borussia Dortmund is also considering offering Almugera Kabar a professional contract. Kabar currently has a training contract until 2026. Recent negotiations between Borussia Dortmund's sporting director Sebastian Kehl and Kabar's representatives have not led to significant progress, but both sides are keen on reaching an agreement.
