Ali Maamar Transfer from RSC Anderlecht II to Anderlecht
Ali Maamar, a 19-year-old Moroccan youth international, unexpectedly made his competitive debut as a left-back against Club Brugge, stepping in due to injuries to N'Diaye and Augustinsson. In the wake of his debut, Anderlecht revealed that they have extended his contract until 2028. Chief Academy Tim Borguet expressed admiration for Maamar's performance, emphasizing his potential and discipline. Borguet mentioned that Maamar is a versatile right wing-back capable of playing on either side, which provides depth and a strong crossing ability. Despite N'Diaye's return, Maamar is anticipated to continue playing with the Futures team, where he has already made 26 appearances and delivered two assists.
