Sergio Conceição, the new coach at AC Milan since the summer, reportedly wants Alexis Saelemaekers back at the club next season. The player, however, prefers to stay in Rome and has mentally moved on from his time at Milan.

Saelemaekers has admirers abroad, and if Roma increases their offer to 20 million euros, Milan might expedite his transfer. Milan is considering sacrificing Saelemaekers to finance the acquisition of a new winger.

Alexis Saelemaekers arrived on the last day of the transfer market and was immediately fielded against Juventus. However, he suffered a severe ankle injury in the following match against Genoa, sidelining him until at least early December.
