Alex Meret: Napoli Contract Extension

His manager Federico Pastorello, who negotiated the Romelu Lukaku deal with Napoli, has laid the groundwork for extending Meret's contract, which is set to expire at the end of the season. A meeting with Giovanni Manna is scheduled in the coming days to finalize the details, and Aurelio De Laurentiis has already given his basic approval for the signing.

The parties are finalizing a new agreement that will be valid until June 30, 2027, which is two years longer than the current agreement. Meret will remain Napoli's starting goalkeeper for the next season as Antonio Conte has confirmed his trust in him.

Since the arrival of Conte, there is renewed enthusiasm and spirit in the team. Meret is happy to stay, and a contract renewal is considered inevitable as his current contract is expiring.

Alex Meret is being considered as an indispensable player by the new Napoli coach, Antonio Conte. There are talks about extending his contract which is due to expire in 2025.

Alex Meret and Napoli will stay together for at least another season. In the player's contract there was indeed a clause for automatic renewal of the contract for another season, which the blue club has triggered and which has moved the new deadline to June 30, 2025. However, the Italian goalkeeper, born in 1997, wants to sit around a table with the company to discuss his future. He would like the extension to be the result of negotiation and not contractual force, and, above all, he would like to understand who will be on the bench next season so as to clearly understand what his role might be.
