Sampdoria has acquired Alessio Cragno from Monza to strengthen their goalkeeper lineup.

Sampdoria is looking to sign a new goalkeeper following the injuries to Perisan and Ghidotti. Leonardo Semplici, the coach, is expected to welcome Alessio Cragno shortly.

Monza has put forward an enticing proposal to Sampdoria, offering Alessio Cragno with the promise to cover nearly his entire salary. The 30-year-old goalkeeper recently had shoulder surgery following an injury during training, sidelining him for a couple of months. This development complicates Sampdoria's plans, as they require a goalkeeper who can step in right away. Over the past two years, Cragno has been a backup, first at Monza and then at Sassuolo, featuring in only 8 matches between 2022 and 2024.
