Gimnasia has announced the acquisition of Colombian forward Alejandro Piedrahíta. The signing took place in the presence of Sports Director Mariano Messera. The Colombian winger, who previously played for Deportivo Pereira, has committed to Gimnasia until December 31, 2025, joining on a free transfer with an option to purchase. Born on September 3, 2002, in Cartago, Colombia, Piedrahíta spent the majority of his career at Deportivo Pereira, where he accumulated 112 appearances and netted 10 goals. His inclusion is intended to bolster Gimnasia's attacking options as the club continues its search for a new head coach following Marcelo Méndez's resignation.
