Alberto Cerri Transfer from Como to Sampdoria

Sampdoria is contemplating the signing of Alberto Cerri, a striker from Como, during the January transfer window. The potential acquisition of Cerri is contingent upon a major outgoing transfer, potentially involving Fabio Borini. Cerri has played 80 minutes this season for Como and is recognized for his physicality and aerial prowess. It is noted that Pietro Accardi, the current sporting director of Sampdoria, has familiarity with Cerri from their previous collaboration at Empoli last season. Cerri is seen as offering a tactical solution for breaking through defenses in challenging matches.

Sampdoria is monitoring Alberto Cerri, who is currently with Como. Cerri was brought to Empoli last January by Pietro Accardi, who now works with Sampdoria. Cerri's agent, Pastorello, has good relations with Sampdoria's technical team.

Alberto Cerri, owned by Como, was brought on loan to Empoli in Serie A by Accardi last January. The former Cagliari and Spal player scored 10 goals in Serie B in 2021-2022 and 9 the following season. Last season, his tally was lower: with Fabregas, he played little, scoring one goal in 5 appearances in Serie B and one goal (in 12 appearances) in six months of Serie A. Born in 1996, Cerri has the qualities of a 'boa' center forward and could seek to revive his career in Genoa.
