Sevilla has reached an agreement to sign Nigerian striker Akor Adams from Montpellier, with the transfer contingent upon the completion of paperwork and a medical examination. Adams is anticipated to arrive in Seville shortly. Montpellier is set to receive around 5 million euros for the transfer, having initially demanded 12 million euros. However, they reduced their asking price due to financial constraints. It has been reported by Fabrizio Romano that the deal is nearly finalized. The 24-year-old Nigerian forward, who is 1.90 meters tall, previously played for Lillestrom in Norway before transferring to Montpellier for 4.5 million euros. This season, he has scored 3 goals and provided 3 assists in 15 matches for Montpellier, who are currently struggling at the bottom of Ligue 1. Sevilla had initially considered other players, such as Alerrando from RB Bragantino, but redirected their attention to Adams after negotiations for Alerrando fell through.
