Aitor Ruibal's current contract with Real Betis expires at the end of the 2024/25 season. He is very close to renewing his contract for three more seasons, until 2027/28. Ruibal has expressed his desire to stay at Real Betis despite receiving various offers to move elsewhere. In an interview on 101TV Sevilla, he mentioned that the deal is almost done, though it's not official yet, but it is about to be finalized. He hoped it would be closed as soon as possible so he could talk freely about it, and added that he is very happy at Real Betis and would not leave the club for anything in the world.

The club will announce his renewal in the coming days after having secured it several weeks ago.
