Agustin Sant'Anna Transfer from River Plate to Bragantino
Agustín Sant'Anna has been officially transferred to Bragantino from River Plate. The transfer was finalized five days after the transfer window closed. Sant'Anna, who had a short stint at River Plate with only seven starts, moved for a fee of 1.8 million USD for 70% of his transfer rights. His time at River Plate was marked by competition for his position, a knee injury, and changes in coaching staff. Initially, River Plate acquired him from Defensa y Justicia for nearly three million USD.
Agustín Sant'Anna is set to continue his football career at Bragantino in Brazil for a transfer fee of 1.5 million dollars, with River Plate agreeing to sell 50% of his rights. This move is part of River Plate's strategic plans during the transfer window, which also includes the sale of Pablo Solari to Spartak Moscow. The club is looking to utilize the funds from these transfers to target new signings, such as Kevin Castaño and Lucas Esquivel. Although the transfer window in Argentina officially closed on January 31, River Plate has the advantage of an extended period until March 12 to replace players sold to foreign clubs, enabling them to make necessary adjustments to their squad.
